Business Development– Market Research and Brand Consulting Firm
Expansion Research is a market research and consulting firm whose aim it to help small and mid-sized companies to strengthen and increase their brand equity. We offer qualitative and quantitative market research as well as strategic consulting and workshops.
Expansion Research is currently looking for qualified individuals to assist in its business development strategy for New York and New Jersey.
Overview
The primary role is to develop and close new, profitable clients for market research, consulting or workshops. This individual will need to establish new relationships and successfully develop them from the early interest stage through to closed deals. S/he will also plan and strategically manage account growth in collaboration with Expansion Research management, developing and executing new marketing and PR plans and increasing Expansion Research’s presence on preferred vendor lists.
Critical Attributes
• At least 3-5 years of demonstrated success in market research, branding or business development.
• Personally accountable for generating annual revenues of at least $1MM.
• Experience or strong knowledge of the market research methodologies.
• Experience in market research and consultative selling.
• Experience in presenting to and interacting with senior management of prospect organizations.
• Proven ability to develop and grow customer relationships.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of professional staff from varied disciplines and backgrounds.
• Must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel to prospective client locations up to 50% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Previous success in a fast –paced, team-focused environment with a proven ability to multi-task.
